Annual Social Training 2011

Gawon, Phnom Penh: On 30 April and 1 May 2011, there was an annual training called “VISION 2011” at Gawon factory, which was presided over by H.E Pich Sophoin, Secretary of State of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. Mr. Ly Tek Heng, GMAC Operations Manager praised Ms Mercedes Cha, Director General of Gawon Apparel Co., Ltd. for her good training activities annually to help Cambodian workers to know how to live, work, andcare about themselves, united as one in their workplace.

H.E Bun Phearin and lecturers of NPIC as well as trainers from the Cambodia Business Coalition on AIDS (CBCA) joined in the training cessions to ensure that 1600 workers received proper message for their daily living, taking care their health, working for better productivity in workplaces, using dialogue as tools to raise any matter to management

Day one, NPIC trainers focused mainly on the Khmer woman character, dresses, speak with appropriate words, work with consciousness and how to love and take care works. On the second day NPIC trainer focused demonstrated that learning in our life is very important and study is endless. In addition, they trained the participants on how to increase work effectiveness. CBCA trained all workers on AIDs Prevention, with multi Questions and Answers, winners got gifts of course. Kindly note that all workers andthe managements stay together at the factory and enjoyed meals together, A FACTORY CAMPING 2011!  

In conclusion, the training helped workers toknow the friendship,  living together, working together, loving each other and building unity. Think of productivity improvement, think of upgrading skills, not about how to strike.
